Idyllwild School is very fortunate to have a high rate of parental involvement and volunteerism from many special community members.
Our PTO has a dedicated board that works very hard in bringing programs for our school, for example, "smARTS" which is a grant-funded program which promotes visual and performing arts in the classrooms. Local artists (many professional) visit our students on Wednesday mornings to introduce an art project and assist students in completing their own artistic endeavor. At the middle school level, art is taught in conjunction with the current curriculum being taught in the classroom.
The Idyllwild School Booster Club - a parent group - raises funds for middle school outdoor education programs such as Joshua Tree, Catalina and AstroCamp.
